Project Abstract

As the United State’s population continues to grow in size and ethnic diversity, the food that is produced and consumed grows in correlation. America is capable of producing a large amount of produce and it does so at a cheaper cost than ever before. But much of that food is wasted by being thrown out into a landfill. Besides the negative economic and moral implications this has, food waste also has an incredibly large impact on climate change. Therefore, it is important that action is taken in order to solve America’s food waste problem.
