Project Abstract

This project is committed to promoting the benefits of the carbon sequestration performed by trees that behave like air filters and air conditioning systems at the same time.  Their multifaceted features exceed the benefits provided by other sustainable practices such as solar panels, hybrid cars, and cooling roofs.  Even as a tree dies, the decomposed carbon becomes sugar and carbohydrates that feed the soil and promote food and plant growth.  These natural "green machines" that the Earth provides us need to be leveraged in the innovative technologies that could help create a green infrstructure and embed sustainability in the urban design of Los Angeles County witht the rising effects of Climate Change.
